Ah, dynamics, such a challenge to pull off but oh so sweet.

Many thanks, this had lots of helpful tips.

Eeeep that is amazing.
I don't think I can even draw normal bodies yet but when I can, I will try this!

Poses are actually something I've got a big problem with. My alter drawing took about a week and a half, and a BUNCH of practice drawings on the side.
I'm saving this for reference. It's going to be a HUGE help. Thank you so much for making this. ^_^

Thanks, I'm glad if it's helpful! Practice drawings on the side and trying as hard as you can in general are the best things you can do to improve, so you're definitely on the right way ^^

Very helpful. Something else to consider is the personality of the character you're drawing, too. Sometimes 'stiff' is the only way they'll BE, so make sure you take that into consideration! :3

Thanks! And yes, of course you're right.
I actually thought about adding a paragraph about how poses are connected with a character's personality but then I thought that this might be enough stuff for another tutorial. After all, this one was supposed to be about dynamic poses ^^

Helpfull. I think half the problem is awareness. At least for me. I keep being bothered by my drawings without quite being able to put my finger on what is wrong. Good tips here.

Thank you! Yes, it is. And learning anatomy and finding your mistakes with this is one thing, but knowing what works in a drawn picture is something you have to be aware of, too. There's a lot of people who don't know the difference and struggle with improving because of that.
And btw you can always ask me if you need help with a particular piece
