It's a typical overlord flaw, such a newbie error! The obvious choice is of course to have something that only appears to be your downfall, and when the hero emerges to save the day you just point and laugh! And then crush him like the tiny, insignificant bug he is.

Why do no evil overlords get that the best way to ensure their evil overlord-ness is to destroy that pretty little thing in the corner of their base of operations that is the one way to ensure their doom? oh well it looks pretty so lets keep it around, it makes the place look posh after all!~
Haha! I would love for that to happen in something! just have this big flashing button with 'do not press unless you want to kill overlord' on it then when the hero presses it a load of ballons and streamers come down from the ceiling

Bwhahaha, now that would be awesome! And still a better ending than ME3! Can you imagine it, Shepard goes to shoot the tubes, and out flows confetti and balloons, bathing Shep in sparkles and glitter, and you hear the catalyst sniggering in the background!

Bwhahahaha, Morrigan and evil male Revan would be awesome! Although it's kind of confusing considering how Morrigan gives birth to the godbaby who's really the reincarnated Revan... Oh, my head! Then again, that is totally the kind of plot that would work in an epic fantasy book! Dark witch gives birth to her evil lover conceived through a dark ritual and together they wreak havoc on the world! Ooooh, I wonder how many people on DA I can squick out with that plot for my next baddies!

And yes, I did notice that! Is it only the games, or is it the games + DLC? Because there are still DLCs to be had in the future for ME3... I also think that this is the only way for PS3 users to get their hands on the first game, which seems unreasonable. This might be wrong, though. I'd be pretty pissed if I had to buy the whole pack if I only needed the first game.

Haha!, oh yeah I had somehow forgotten that major detail of the story! gawd, I think that I really need to write down the story as I keep getting confused about who is who and what is what though like you say it totally works in an epic fantasy sort of way - besides it would make a hell of an awesome movie no matter what way it works! and the thought or Revan being his own father would be the sort of twist that would put Darth Vader's revalation to Luke to same! can you imagine that scene in the film...revan talks to a mirror and reveals the huge secret that will change the fate of the galaxy... I can just see Morrigan's expression being all while watching what is going on~

I'm not sure tbh, I don't think they have said about that yet - though popular belief is that it's complete 1 + 2 as in all dlc for them included and ME3 with no dlc, which would be a really sucky move on bioware's part but then again it is EA who is the puppet master and we both know how much they love any chances to get money! It's out Nov 6 and they haven't announced when Omega is out yet have they? and I don't think that would be the last piece of dlc for 3 so it is really kind of weird to release a complete collection when ME3 is anything but complete lol my brother just said that they will probably release a 'perfect' collection when ME3 is finally finished - he is probably right too!

Yeah that's a good point! I think I heard that ME2 didn't sell well on the PS3 either so they could end up losing a load of money in the long run if this set gets the same kind of response lol well at least it'll be a kind of revenge for making PS3 users buy all three

Yeah, we ought to start writing this crack down, I'm starting to forget what order the different game universes happened in!

And true, the Star Wars universe would be a lot different, and more surreal, if it has been "Luke, you're your father."

Oh, I definitely believe they'll try to sell a million other versions of Mass Effects bundles, there's probably a very good reason why they sell if before all the DLC is out. Because some fans will just be desperate enough to get it, and then they can release another version that people also "have to have". I'm thinking I'm doing pretty good with the games I have, the CE was more than enough.

Oh, it didn't sell on the PS3? Maybe because, I dunno, THEY DIDN'T ACCESS TO THE FIRST GAME?!? I don't know about everyone else, but I tend to be less inclined to buy what looks like the second game in a series unless I have played the first.

True, our storyline is long and epic! I do actually have a family tree of the Mass Effect families, though, just so I never forget how that went! Not that I quite remember the sitename, but it's out there somewhere!

What was the name of Tali and Garrus's daughter btw? I just remember her name as something awesome but I can't recall what it was T.T and I've also forgot the names of the twins of T.I.M and Hannah...gawd I really do need to write this info down!!~

And Garrus' daughter is Callie, Callie Braith! Hannah's parents don't have any names though, so they're just known as Hannah's parents! Although they're technically also Karin's parents! The twins were Shep's and Aidan's, TIM being the granddaddy, if you remember!

But wait... If Luke is his own father... And Luke and Leia are twins... Does that make Luke the father of Leia as well? Now this is definitely going places!

Oh, I can't wait for the Super-Duper-Are-You-Broke-yet? Edition! It's going to be intensely awesome! Especially if it can be bought along with the Comic-trilogy edition! Ooooh, wait, they can perhaps both be bought together in the Artistic Integrity Edition?

YES!~thank you so much for that! love the name you picked for Shep, I never cared for the default name either It's all coming back to me now, how on earth could I have forgotten about Callie I feel so ashamed! haha I'm remembering boozy Hannah and her antics as well I do love the idea of Hannah and T.I.M together and of course the awesome family dinners with poor Harby trying to be the peacemaker I just had a thought as well - is Leviathan going to be the bullying big brother of Harby? (I am still very disappointed that leviathan wasn't about Reapy the long lost lover of Harby!) Leviathan needs to fit in the family somewhere... an ex-lover of Hannah perhaps, nah! that is just too damn distrubing!

Oh dear, I think we are going to have a few headaches over trying to figure this out! So luke would be the father of Leia, father-in-law of Han and the grandfather of Jacen.Jaina and Anakin and the great-grandfather of Allana...but also father of Ben and husband of Mara Jade - oh my and everyone thought that part in Empire where Leia kisses Luke was bad when it was revealed they were siblings....!! Yeah, my Shep's name is my 'default' rpg game, it's the name I used for my paladin back in an RPG I did a few years back, and then it sort of became the default, for some reason replacing Elila!

Levi would definitely be the bullying older brother who constantly got a bit too drunk and boasted about how awesome he is! Harby was made from the Leviathans, after all! If he's "related" to Harby he can can get into the family tree that way! And yeah, it's such a shame we didn't get Reapy the Reaper, Harby's long lost love!

Oh man, Luke would be the weirdest guy ever! And poor Anakin, who only gets to be the ex-boyfriend of Padme who never got her pregnant! The whole thing is giving me a headache!

Oooooh, there definitely needs to be a 'Speculations for everybody' bonus DVD, but only for the first 200 pre-orders or something! Because it's just that speshul! Imma gonna go ask bioware if they can release that RIGHT NOW!

I do love having a default name that you turn to for games like that~ I use my default name (Lyra) for pretty much every game that requires it so she's been a pokemon trainer to a grey warden and everything in between though the first name was pretty much pointless in ME lol even Shep's memorial board just had commander Shepard on it, I just had this image of the crew talking amongst themselves going 'umm, she did have a first name didn't she?! I just can't remember it!' which is why I do love those players who put shep's name as commander ooh maybe that is the real reason why she never got promoted...being commander was her destiny!~

I bet that jerk Levi is the real reason behind driving poor Reapy away from Harby...he didn't approve of their love and became determined to break them up! haha, we may of really gone all space opera on this now (but it is one that I actually would watch) it would so be the top rated space opera in the mass effect galaxy!~

Oh Luke what were you thinking? haha If i were Vader I think I'd just finish the relationship with Padme and just be thankful that I wasn't in any way involved with all the weirdness! I am loving the thought of the character being the same one throughout all the rpgs - what a hell of a lot of varying jobs they have had! Just imagine Elona's job resume when she aims to get the role of the next rpg heroine - yep, I've fought darkspawn, reapers, demons, sith - you name it and I've beaten the hell out of it!~
Haha! the insane chick theory? I love it! She'd really have to be insane to come up with the story for ME3 so It does fit, that's for sure! I just have the image of her turning up on random planets sending the alliance command into cries of 'oh no! not her again...urgh just play along otherwise she'll go completely bonkers on us..'

Yeah, me too! And it explains how the hero can be so much more awesome than everyone else and have all this amazing powers! Lots and lots of training, of course!

Oh man, I feel bad for the soldiers who have to deal with the crazy broad who imagines herself to be in the military... I wonder if she's really a stow-away on The Normandy, hiding down in the engine room making up stories of how the entire crew loves her and think she's awesome. It would explain why most everyone just worships the ground she walks on, and why the human crew from ME1 gets treated badly in ME2, they're the only ones who actually exist and have probably tried to throw Shep off several times. In the second game Jacob is probably real, and Shep spies on him in the shower imaging he's her boyfriend, and when she finds out he's got one already she makes up a story about him being an unfaithful jerk. Miranda and Jack are clearly just two polarized sides of Shep's psyche, representing the different aspects of her mind. It would explain why they always quarrel as well. Well, this is starting to make a lot of sense to me! Speculations, anyone?

Daaaaw, reaper barber shop quartet! Now there is an adorable mental image! They would have to have striped shirts, straw-hats and little canes as well! Awwww! I love mah little singing reapers, they sing beautiful! Their tooting and bleating is just beautiful serenades!

Reapy would have to carry the child I think... And Jacob's father was... uhm... you know... that guy... his name... Mr Taylor?

Yep! I'd feel a bit sorry for the hero who started off in harvest moon and gets a transfer to ME3 though! They would probably end up like that good old crazy broad Shep

I just have this thought of everyone leaving her to her crazy delusions as they are too scared of what she'd do to them if they confronted her! my fave part though is the Jacob scenario, I can just see Shep giving Brynn the evil eye whenever she see's her and painting her as a harlot who stole 'her' man when in reality Brynn and Jacob are the nicest people ever....though we both know the reality! canon Jacob is not so likable - though if he carries on his naughty ways then his daughter will soon set him on the right path
So forget all the other theories as crazy Shep answers all the questions! The part where Jack and Miranda represent her psyche is genius btw and just makes the thought of crew members walking in on Shep while those two are 'debating' is just too funny!~imagine the poor crew member thinking 'oh crap she's gone off on one again!!' It's amusing that the only way that the story makes sense to me is that it was dreamt up by a crazy person - mmm....senile/crazy casey hudson theory? nah crazy Shep is far better!~

Omg...I want the reaper barber shop quartet to be real ;o; and they could provide the background music for all the slaying that the reapers are carrying out and how damn catchy that slaying song would be! singing reapers dlc please~ oh and of course fabulous repaer dlc would be the perfect side pack for that too~

Well, so far it's been really really old-style! I think it's been a bit touched up though, so the graphics and gameplay has been improved. Other than that it's amusing, even if it seems a little bit bugged! (One guy keep referring to a kidnapped girl who hasn't been kidnapped yet!), and I haven't found the quest journal yet, if there is any! But it's fun!

Dogmeat should be a follower in every game as he is too awesome (it would be the same one as well thanks to using Kitty!Eden's time travelling powers!)

I haven't found one yet, there is Rex the robot dog of course but he doesn't come close to being as epic as Dogmeat!~I heard there is a scaled down version of Dogmeat's model as an easter egg - though he is a fossilized dog called Seymour as a nod towards that episode in futurama

Oh boy, the transition between Harvest Moon and Mass Effect might be a bit brutal, I agree...

Yeah, the crazy, delusional Shep theory is now in my top five, along with the senile Shep! I think Miranda and Jack works perfectly, one is a prim and perfect soldier who always follows her orders, and the other is a chaotic bitch who does whatever she wants! Of course, by the third game Jack is less random and chaotic, and Miranda isn't the perfect little soldier any more, so that means that Shep's grown as person? But oooooh, you can also get both of them killed during the game... What does that say for Shep's psyche? Does it mean she stops having a split personality?

Awwww, we must demand a Reaper Barber Shop Quartet DLC! Along with the fabulous reaper pack. When you install it all the reapers in the game becomes faaaaaa~bulous, darling!

Oh yeah, if I do anything wrong at work I'm going to claim the 'artistic integrity' defense!

No amount of farming could prepare you for meeting your first reaper...well unless the reapers are secretly huge fans of the agricultural world?

Same here!~ those two theories kick all the other theories asses! so forget I.T and all of the other BSN theories as senile/crazy Shep is the best!~ On one hand you have an awesome old shep making Alice Reaper's life chaotic and on the other you have a crazy stowaway Shep causing trouble on the normandy - what is not to love about that?!~ In fact either of those being true could redeem Bioware for me!
That's an interesting thought!~what if you just kill Miranda - does Shep go even crazier and reckless? and if you kill jack does Shep become more uptight but still thinks 'gawd what a body I have!' though yeah it's great to see how much those two change over the course of the two games - so maybe at the end of 3 Shep is less crazy but then again what the hell was she doing to come up with that ending?

They really didn't do enough with the reapers! just imagine how much harder it would be to go with the destroy option if it not only killed EDI and the geth but the Reaper barber shop quartet and the Fabulous Reaper! the horror of having to kill them would just be too much!
I love the thought of that DLC! haha imagine a faaa-bulous Harby! oh my!~That would be truly wonderful!~

Haha! good idea! It worked for bioware so it should be able to get us out out of a few problems!

Oh, I don't know, don't you remember? "There is no war, there is only the harvest!" Seems like someone's a fa~armer! Might be that the Leviathans actually came from the Harvest Moon universe, and then the intelligence they created was heavily influenced by that! It definitely explains a lot! I mean, it's in the name: Reaper!

Oooh, Alice Reaper, I love her and her bratty son, Damian! And it's true, a delusional Shep would add layers and layers to the story, right? Man, Bioware wish they were as good as writing deep stories as us, if they knew what was good for them they'd hire us on the spot!

And I imagine that if Miranda and Jack is struggling for superiority in Shep's brain, killing off one or both of them will affect her personality! If they both survive, she probably stays as she is, only with some personal growth. But then again, she must be severely brain-damaged to come up with the ending. Or, maybe she's just lying in a pool of blood dying in the rubble of London, having crazy hallucinations. Makes as much sense as the ending, really.

Nuuuh, not the fabulous reapers and the barbershop quartet! I'm choosing control instead, and then I'm going to make them all to put on shows every day!

Le gasp! that is such a good point! haha forget the barber shop quartet being the best bunch of reapers in the galaxy as I think the farmer reapers with their adorable straw hats, dungarees and pitchforks could beat them! Ooh and it's so another reason why the reapers aren't evil! - they aren't trying to kill everyone, they are just trying to do farmwork on the planets...with lasers...bless them they aren't that smart...

Well, hire you anyway, I'm more on the support side of the theories! haha, you come up with the awesome theories and I support you doing so - kind of like an political aide! The Shep is not-quite-right-in-the-head theory just makes far too much sense not to become canon! it explains everything even all the plot holes that bioware became so fond of! and Alice Reaper and bratty Damian are far more bearable then just having the bratalyst be the ending of the trilogy, jeeze bioware what were you thinking with leaving it at that? I would of more preferred the end of the game to be a cut back to senile shep breaking out of the retirement home for the five-thousandth time!

Yeah, the ending does make as much sense as crazy Shep's late night ramblings!~ which is why I support Senile and Crazy Shep - bringing us sense in a crazy ass ending~

Omg, those shows would be the best in the whole galaxy!~ especially if fabulous reaper is the one planning the barber shop quartet's outfits!~

Yeah, it's just such a shame that the tools the reapers use aren't really suited for the task! It's Levi's fault, they didn't build the bratalyst with the necessary understanding of how farming actually works! Man, for being the supposed 'apex race' they sure are morons! I want a redneck reaper, with a straw in its mouth and really heavy accent!

Noooo, we're a team! We can be Team 'Speculations for everyone', and Casey and Mac can be Team 'Artistic Integrity'! Man, can you image the talk we'd have, discussing the game? Oh, we'd drive them both insane! Then we could take over Bioware, and make the kind of games WE want!

Ahhh, Senile Shep, I think about her every time I pass by the retirement home a few blocks away!

The fabulous reapers would of course be in charge of the wardrobe!

Redneck Reaper could be the leader of the farmer reapers - I can see the other reapers asking what is the best way to prepare a field/planet for farming and him going 'laser it!'~

Yay!~Go team 'speculations for everyone!' we can keep beating Casey and Mac in our debates by saying that the artistic vision needs more speculations in it~ now if we had control over the types of game that bioware make, that could be so..much..fun!~ and who knows we may even make games that have endings that make sense!

If you ever see an old woman vaulting over the gate with a harrassed looking woman in pursuit let me know as you may of just found our Shep!

Well, the Leviathan has to be morons of some kind, how can they be the apex race and build something as retarded as the bratalyst? Clearly, with their bright mind and infinite logic, they should've been able to program something less idiotic!

Now I sort of want a t-shirt with "Team Speculations for Everyone" on it! We'd be so epic! Oh, your know our games would all feature two very specific actors for voice-acting, that's for sure! Although to be honest the plots might be a bit too much out there? I think a lot of the plot would have to be subtext, for people to read between the lines!

Haha, yeah! Last night I was staring so hard at the building while walking home that I think the nurse standing outside having a smoke got suspicious! I bet her name is Alice Reaper!
