I posted this sketch with a little bit of colours before.. but I decided to finish it.I finallly know how to use textures so I wanted to try it out. ( textures from [link] )
This is my friend's char from world of warcraft named celesis.

waiiii <3 textures!! Not sure if you use the technique i use with textures, i find when you add textures the colors fade a bit... Overall, awsome job! =O

i guess it depends on teh colour of the texture too.
I dont remember if it made my colours fade.. lol but I think I had to adjust the colours a bit after I layed the texture on.
The way I put it on is like.. I put the texture on a new layer on top of what I want to be textured, and I add a layer mask to it and set it to overlay.

yeah i dont even know if i'm using textures correctly myself. nobody ever taught me. i just sort of do trial and error to see what gives me the best result.
is the bobby chiu's lessons over? if not, how are u finding them?
