Will-O-the-Dragon (outline)

Summary: A group of guards lead the Valenth Solaris to Agra, Euterpe. The guards are lead by the minstrel Crochi York. They are interrupted when, traveling through Will's Swamp (named after the human who first tried to tame a dragon and died later died in the swamp by a Stone Dragon, the swamp is thought to be a reminder to Nessus that dragons can't be controlled and to the minstrels of Euterpe, that there are evil dragons out there) by lights that turn to be caused by Veronica-Euterpe (the dragon) and she lets them go to attack them later. When a strange creature appears, Veronica attacks it and allows the guards, Crochi, and Solaris to escape.

Characters:

Crochi York: Crochi is a young minstrel who still has yet to go to Agra and so agrees to help Solaris and his guards travel to Agra. He doesn't understand why people hate dragons so much and this gets him in trouble at times. Crochi gets Solaris to go through Will's Swamp because he wants to see it for himself. He, at first, tries to talk to Veronica, but that doesn't work out. The story will be told from his point of view.

Solaris: Solaris is an excellent strategist from the planet Valenth. He never evolved from his Alpha form and so left Valenth when a place where he wouldn't be looked down for not evolving was found. He wants to travel to Agra, Euterpe because he's interested to see what a people that actually respect the dragons is like. When Veronica-Euterpe attacks he is interested more in her tactics than in those who died.

Veronica-Euterpe: Veronica hates to be bothered and Agog, her Moth daemon, doesn't like the swamp she lives in. She uses her power over fire to lure people into her swamp to either eat them or get them lost. She lures Solaris' group in when she sees the strange Solaris. She is amused when Crochi York tries to talk to her. When the stranger first appears, she at first thinks it's an image sent from Sume (the Raven clan Daemon of the Euterpe Clan) to intimidate the travelers. But when it starts to kill them off she attacks it (but the group escapes).

Mephostophilis: Meph is a traveler from the planet of Subeta. A wormhole, like that that appeared on Valenth, sucks him in. Meph had been doing a spell to raise Faustus' (his minion's) spirit to talk to him about strange occurrences on Subeta (now that's saying something! ). Meph is taken to Will's Swamp and starts killing Solaris' group because he thinks they brought him there. When Veronica attacks him he is able to escape, barely, and starts his journey to find his home.

Breakdown:

-Crochi York joins Solaris and his guards at the edge of Euterpe and they decide to go through Will's Swamp.

-They start to go through Will's Swamp when they are attracted to and follow some fire lights and run across as Veronica starts to play with them.

-They finally escape when Meph arrives. Afterwards, Crochi realizes that maybe the minstrels of Euterpe have the wrong idea about dragons.
