Description

When making characters, apps will always contain a pelt ref to serve as a visual aid for the design. You are not allowed to use custom lines for this, but you are allowed to do minor edits to the existing lines! However, there are certain guidelines and restrictions when making these edits.

Areas that count as edits:
- Cheek tuft
- Neck/Chest
- Hair/Beard
- Back
- Stomach
- Front legs
- Back legs
- Tail

You are allowed to edit up to three of these areas. Editing ears (i.e making them curled, tufted, folded, etc.) doesn't count against these three edits. However; we may allow additional or restrict certain edits, depending on how readable the pelt ref is. Amputated limbs likely would count as an exception in this case if there are multiple.

When editing the pelt ref, please try to keep lines as close to the original linework as possible, and try to make sure these lines are clean, clear, and concise! If there is too much detail (i.e too many fur tufts) we may ask you to make edits to the lines to make them more readable.

DO:
- Match line weight/style
- Try keeping changes as simple as possible
- Try keeping it to 3 changes
- You CAN add pupils, this doesn't count as an edit
- You CAN change ears to however you wish, this doesn't count as an edit
- You CAN erase certain lines completely if it makes your design more readable

DON'T:
- Make custom lines
- Use a full-body drawing in place of the pelt ref
- Shade the pelt ref
- Draw too many tufts (try keeping tufts to the outer lines, not the inner lines!
- Cover the eyes; if your character's hair covers the eyes, try to make them be seen on the app!
