Over 17 hours, and 800 layers later... it's complete! I actually recorded the speedpaint for this one, too. Once that's uploaded it'll be on my channel~ (EllBlue).
Anyway!! I'm so happy with how it turned out, I initially had expected for it to be one of the weaker of my recent drawings, but it turned out to be one of the best! I took what I learnt from Determination's background and process, Longing's character, and the sketching I did for an animation of my ocs and applied it here!
The background I didn't plan ahead, actually. You may recognize the background, as the original sketch of it was used in "Scaramouche"! I couldn't complete it then since it was ahead of my (at the time) skillset and was overwhelming.. and over a year later, I finished it! It ended up fitting this drawing perfectly~.
The most challenging part of this was by far the motivation lol- 4/9 of the work sessions I had on this piece were under 30 minutes (then today I did 7h straight-). Thanks for your time~ <3
