Ahhhh- after dozens of hours and probably 650+ total layers, he's done! (or at least this version of him is-)I'm really happy with how this cheerful version of him turned out (: it feels really nice to finally have made progress with this drawing- I finished the character part about a month ago, but never finished the full thing (lack of motivation + a mess of a giant background I scrapped in the end-).
Next will be the rainy big background! The sketch for it is done, I just haven't started coloring. Also, I included a version with & without the hat (since I did it separately from the rest of him) & a zoom because I'm really happy with the face & hair~!
Took about 45~ hours. about 42h on Scaramouche himself (over 1 month of inconsistent work-), and 2~3 hours on the background (3 or so days). One extra hour if you count how long it took me to count how many hours it took-
