I like the bleak colors here (in contrast to usually bright and vibrant colors with the theme), because they make the piece feel distant, ancient, and magical although at the same time like the magic may be starting to drain. Plus the hazy effects created with the wiry branches and shading of the bridge adds to the atmosphere too
