I originally got into beadspriting for the old video game nostalgia factor, before I realized how fun it was to make Dragon Ball Z characters all day Hyper Dimension is an old game for the SNES, and is a big mix of both for me! It’s definitely up there with the original Mario for NES with my nostalgia feels

God, I remember trading in my NES for the SNES and seeing the game sprites like the teeny little Cell Jrs here with their 300 pixels and thinking “Holy crap this is like the pinnacle of technology!” Now we have 3D rendered five gajillion pixels per centimeter games and I’m just like… I am too old.

ANYWAY. Here we have Cell watching over his children, possibly teaching them fighting skills? :3 I imagine it wouldn’t be going so well. Maybe something like:

Your brother there will have good speed and form behind his attack. What are you going to do?

Uh… run away from it?

…are you kidding me?

Son, don’t be a bitch, stand your ground and block it.

Dad, he’s uh… gonna come at me pretty fast, are you SURE I shouldn’t move?

Oh for the love of christ, if I wanted you kids to learn how to run away like crying toddlers, I’d leave you with Goku’s little coward spawn and you could play chicken with them all damn day.

…you don’t have to be so mean about it, dad.
