It's very lovely, but the lit side of the planets need to face the sun.

That would be correct if the light came from the sunset, but in my artwork is not. Sky is represented as a dream portal where the day or sunset is real and night is like a window (illusion), what you see as the space (Universe) is independent of the sunset.
The vision is surreal and involves the world of illusions separated by dreams and reality.
Here, a sunset can not illuminate the universe because this universe-window has own bright light from other bodies that are not in that small space where I represented both worlds, and not from sun. On my art, there isnt moon, are two celestial bodies, no moon and our sun does not give light to the portal-window of dreams (universe). No, in this case.
To understand better.. the perspective is that from our point of view, the part representing the night, is a mental visualization from a part of our dreams, not reality.
