This almost never happens and I don’t know where to go from here.

I dreamed this. Very rare to get art from dreams for me. What makes this really unique is that I dreamed this as a tattoo over my heart. I never dream tattoos on myself.

I’m not sure where to go with this.

It was a long process, because the image in my dream was very unclear. In the same way that all my artwork starts as a scribbled tangle of lines, from which I draw forth the image, the tattoo in my dream was a kind of raw mess of ink lines. I knew the shape in the dream, but it did not reach my waking mind. Unspooled thread left at the bottom of a bag for months.

So, ever so slowly and carefully, I eked out the shape of things. Physically I teased out the shape, instinctively I summoned up the forms, and finally the lines came together on the page.

Whatever this is has come from some weird raw buried part of my code which was written over my heart.
