Description
Ceramic teapot and cup, nonfunctional. These are sculptural pieces, meant to play with ideas about the purpose of functional objects and the medium used to create them. They are stoneware carved in such a way as to look like a wood carving and the painted with low-fire underglazes to give a slightly wooden and slightly animalistic impression. Created for a class assignment, in which we were to create a piece inspired by a musical artist (art we though our artist would like and want to own). My artist was Regina Spektor. Handbuilt.
