This image was created in Ai but it really captured the person I was at 17. I had gone through several horrible traumatic experiences in a years time. I attempted suicide and was hospitalized. I didn't think I would ever find my way out of that darkness.

Now it is 50 years later, and I am still here. I made it. The thing that saved me was art! It was a way for me to see beauty again and tell my story without words, just like this one.

There is a song lyric " I prefer to find beauty in pain" I will credit the artist later as it escapes me right now.

I mean even the sunflower looks sad!! How can a sunflower look sad?
