Prism Dilution Chart - Dragon Base Coat ModifierRepresented by the genomic letter Pr
Prism is a genetic modifier gene found in Elysium's Invasive Dragon Species. This gene changes the base color of a dragon depending on the already existing base coat. Prism is a dominant gene meaning only one copy of it is required for the dragon to express the color. Homozygous forms of Prism does not affect the expressed color, only the number of inherited Snow genes will.
Obsidian Shades
Prism on an Obsidian based dragon results in a blue coloration.
An Obsidian dragon who inherits Prism will turn into a Lapis dragon, expressing darker shades of Blue and Navy.
A Black Slate dragon who inherits Prism will turn into a Frost dragon, expressing lighter shades such as Baby Blue and Sky Blue. Frost dragons tend to be pastel in shade.
A Stone dragon who inherits Prism will turn into an Arctic dragon, expressing very BRIGHT shades of blue and becoming near white to white along the underline.
Ginger Shades (EE/Gg)
When it comes to Prism, Ginger is a VERY special case. The color of Prism Dragon you get is entirely dependent on the number of inherited E's and G's as you can see above. First we'll look at a Ginger dragon with two dominant E's.
A EE/Gg dragon who inherits Prism becomes an Indigo dragon, expressing darker shades of purple and violet.
A EE/Gg/Ss dragon who inherits Prism becomes a Wisteria dragon, expressing lighter shades such as Lilac and Lavender. Wisteria dragons tend to be pastel in shade.
A EE/Gg/SS dragon who inherits Prism becomes an Iris dragon, expression very BRIGHT shades of puple and becoming near white to white along the underline.
Ginger Shades (Ee/Gg)
Ginger Dragons who are heterozygous for both their E and G genes will turn into the following colors:
A Ee/Gg dragon who inherits Prism becomes a Garnet dragon, expressing dark and rich red tones.
A Ee/Gg/Ss dragon who inherits Prism becomes a Rose dragon, expressing pink hues and tones.
A Ee/Gg/SS dragon who inherits Prism becomes an Opal dragon, expressing bright pink tones and becoming near white to white along the underline.
Ginger Shades (Ee/GG)
Ginger Dragons who are heterozygous for their E but homozygous for their G genes will turn into the following colors:
A Ee/GG dragon who inherits Prism becomes a Jade dragon, expressing dark and rich green tones.
A Ee/GG/Ss dragon who inherits Prism becomes a Moss dragon, expressing lighter hues of green like forest green to pear.
A Ee/GG/SS dragon who inherits Prism becomes a Lime dragon, expressing bright green tones and becoming near white to white along the underline.
Rust Shades
Prism on a Rust based dragon results in two possible colors: orange or yellow.
A Rust dragon who inherits Prism becomes an Amder dragon, expressing brilliant shades of orange. Amber dragons and regular Rust dragons are often confused for one another but it should be noted that Amber dragons tend to be a little darker and more saturated than Rust.
A Dune dragon who inherits Prism becomes a Topaz dragon, expressing rich hues of yellow.
A Marble dragon who inherits Prism becomes a Gold dragon, expressing bright golden tones and becoming near white to white along the underline.
Rules about Neon
Prism dragons tend to be a little more saturated and dare on the side of neon at times. However, players should stick to color picking from our sliders above to make sure they are selecting the right hues.
