I finally decided to update some character refs ^^

I’m adding some more lore and interactions between some of the characters on the ref sheets I’m uploading today, so be sure to check them out!

This full story is spread out between 4 character sheets and it’s rather long, but hopefully someone will find it interesting.

Name: Emerald

Age: 21 (Adult)

Pronouns: She/Her

Species: Common Dragon (Non WoF OC)

Orientation: Ace (Asexual)

Abilities: Fire breath, Gem-Seer

Emerald is a kind, confident young dragon who enjoys exploring, making friends and has a generally positive outlook on life. Emerald doesn’t like violence, but will fight when necessary to protect herself and her friends.

She hatched with a small round emerald on her head and a large one on her chest, which marks her as having the extremely rare power of ‘Gem-Seer.’ When looking at an emerald gem, if she casts her mind towards it, she can connect to other emeralds and see through them to what is happening in another location anywhere in the world (This is much easier with closer/known gems though) Emerald also discovers that if she tries hard enough, she can connect to an emerald and see the past memories of other emerald Gem-Seer’s. However she only tries this once after witnessing the memories of the brutal death of the dragon she connected to.

The gems are fused to Emeralds scales and cannot be removed. While they are extremely solid and tough, if someone used enough force to crack/pierce the gems they would cause Emerald severe damage or even death as they are located over her brain and heart (thankfully this hasn’t happened)

At age 21, Emerald leaves her parents’ home to live in her own cave in a distant mountain range, but she still visits them occasionally. She would also keep an eye on them by connecting to the emerald jewels in their treasure hoard to check if they were Ok. Of course neither of her parents would be able to respond/communicate with her using the gems, as neither of them are Gem-Seers, so it only works one-way.

Emerald eats meat, but she would never eat another creature that is intelligent enough to speak or have their own civilisation. The majority of dragons consider eating an intelligent being as highly disrespectful, dishonourable and vile but unfortunately there is no strict law against it, so some dragons still do it.

A short while after moving into her new cave, Emerald decides to explore the forest at the bottom of the mountain where she meets Frost. She saves Frosts life after another dragon (called Needle) tries to eat her. Frost and Emerald become good friends and meet up often. While Emerald greatly enjoys Frost’s company, she is not fond of Frosts boyfriend, Flame. Even though Flame seems to be friendly and harmless, Emerald can sense a dark malevolent presence within him (Inferno) However she is always polite to Flame, as she doesn’t want to upset Frost, but she never lets her guard down around him, which turns out to be very lucky one day…
