Luckily, the drizzle faded a little before Matteo got out for the warmup, he managed to sit in a completely dry saddle while also looking perfectly dashing in his brand new uniform, only his joyful attitude could shine more than the golden embroidery that were decorating it. The youngster received some last tips and tuneup for how to tackle their class, and soon enough they were in the ring, waiting for the bell to ring.

" OH MY GOD-- SABA WE MADE IT. "

Exclaimed Matteo -despite being in the middle of the course- has they both went over the water obstacle; he glanced over his shoulder for a second just to make sure he wasn't dreaming before continuing to the next jump of the course. But this one specificly, was surely the obstacle that had him the most worried about. Not that Saba would have refused to jump it - well technically, yes, but simply would have passed it like a river, without a jump like she would have done back then in the wild. Which wasn't much help here in the show jumping course. Thankfully Matteo had gotten the chance to train those last months in company of Sam, who gave him all the support to improve their technique and issues. Of course Saba was not the mare he could count on to get to any higher level but she was surely the safest mount he could ever have to learn and experiment, she was his nanny after all and would do anything her tiny - now noodly- human would ask her to. Either way, Matteo pushed her forward, grinning ear to ear as they dashed through the course, no matter the result he was definitely more than happy with that one jump. Of course he still had to remain focused for the next one - which always proved a tad difficult due to his short attention span - after all he did not want to mess up by hitting a rail for being too happy. He still took a moment to flash a smile in the general direction in which he knew his mother, Ryan, Will, and Sam where, just radiating joy, even a little more than usual - yes, that was possible -

And not to forget that today was much more than being his first real big show jumping event, it was also the first one to attend as part of a different team, not under his mother's wing but instead under the Crown of RPS, and Matteo surely celebrated this new step and the thrill of this change. It was for sure a new adrenalin rush, not only going over the jumps was intense but also he really hoped to do well, prove to Sam that he really did not loose his time trying to coach his air head and that he was more than motivated to learn more from him. Combined to the fact that Sam also trained and shown his future Show Jumping mount and that the next step was to learn new methods on a different horse, Matt was more than ready to prove that he was up for the task and ready for the new challenge.

Hopefully he would make his new team proud by the end of their course.
