Probably my best piece yet. I love Lucia Konohana and I love Sailor Moon and magical girls, so why not put them together? I have another idea for another magical girl series I like to put Lucia in, so that might be my next work.

I drew the lineart entirely in raster layers, but some stray lines from erasures keep popping up while coloring. I think for my next piece, I'll draw the lineart on a vector layer, then rasterize it when its finished. Coming up with an original background was a little difficult, but making it was even more difficult, as I haven't gotten much practice with gradients. I tried using the new Shading Assist feature in Clip Studio Paint. I was okay, but using the Sailor Moon references turned out better. Maybe with a bit more understanding, I'll get more use out of it next time. I also tried using a new method to draw Lucia's hair, but her ponytail still gives me trouble. I'll look into other methods to draw it. I also wanted to give Lucia a purple glow, but I could figure out how to do that. Maybe next time.
