"What is it you've wanted to say to me?" Cosmo asked, a little nervously.
"I...I love you, Cosmo. I love you so much. You mean so much to me, I'd give up all my work, my workshop, my plane, and all my favorite projects and a whole lot more, just to be with you." Tails said bravely, and then, after that, his heart felt like it stopped.
Same with Cosmo. She was beyond shocked, yet very, very touched.
"Oh, Tails!" She was very happy, she embraced him as both kept kicking in the middle of the ocean.
"I love you, too, very much! You're the best, Tails!" Cosmo was so very happy!
Then, silence. Tails and Cosmo looked at each other romantically. Both pairs of eyes were glowing and a little glassy due to small tears.
Before Tails knew it, the space between his and Cosmo's heads was shrinking. Tails' heart feltl ike it stopped again, and then, he calmed down, now fully aware of what was about to happen. Both of Tails' hands then gently held the back of Cosmo's head while Cosmo's hands held Tails' shoulders.
As they got closer, Tails could now feel the gentle breath from Cosmo's mouth on his lips. Tails then shut his eyes, fully prepared.
Now, the sapce was completely closed.
Tails' and Cosmo's lips met with a very soft and passionate kiss. Tails' heart calmed down, and his hands stuck to Cosmo's head.
The breeze from swimming in the ocean made this golden moment even more comfortable.
Cosmo's lips were so warm and soft at the touch against Tails'. He loved this feeling so much, he didn't want it to end.
