That emblem really does pronounce every single aspect of who Twilight is.
The horn and wings? Alicorn. Check.
The purple crescent? A symbol of twilight, which conveniently matches the color of her fur.
That star in the middle? Her cutie mark, which represents the element of magic. (If there's a name for that star, I'd be glad if someone told me the name of it)
The five white stars displayed underneath the "bigger star"? Represent her five best friends, who were destined to become the elements of harmony alongside her.
I just had to over-analyze it, because this was just so well-made. If Twilight Sparkle were to have her own symbol alongside the Sun and the Moon, it should be this one.

I just wanted to say that this is quite nice. Very simple like, but does the job just fine.
It's got the horn and wings of the character, plus the new design of the mark. (The main star with six white ones.)

I'd call it the Dominion of Harmony. I even thought up a nice description:
Led and created by Princess Twilight and the Elements of Harmony, they rule over the land with a firm hoof. Hoping to reunite Equestria, they try to stop the many wars between the Solar Empire and the New Lunar Republic and wishes for the two to reunite.

Either that or they go all Robin Hood and Twi leads from the Everfree Castle not fearing the many beasts of the forest due to beastmaster Fluttershy. Doing their part to end the strife and bring about United Equestria.
