Acrylic on canvas. I think it's 18" x 20". Sorry for the awful quality photo, I need a better camera.The premise behind the painting was to take the colours from a traditional painting of our choice and create a selfportrait using those exact colours in the same proportions. I chose a painting by Gauguin, though I can't remember which one.
Completed sometime in Spring 2005.

I wish I could paint a self portrait of myself. but I can only draw people, not paint them. my paintings of people look ridiculous
