Here is a fifteen minute sketch I did this morning.

There was once a little boy who smiled when the sun shined upon him. There was a monster who did not like how the little boy was. So the monster attacked the young child. He would taunt the child and call him cruel and nasty names. He would hurt the child with his malicious and vile insults. The monster physically abused the child. He would beat him and assault him. The monster would hurt the young lad with his fists. The monster eventually went away; he was murdered by a different type of monster.
The young child, now a man does not smile any longer when the sun shines upon him. He is hurt and broken, hollow and alone. He is trapped in the dark confines of self unloved. Will the boy ever smile again? Maybe he will, maybe not today nor tomorrow. Yet the man knows one day when the sun shines upon him, he will look up to the sky, with the sun shining brilliantly and smile.
