Just an example drawing.Sorry if you're expecting a full detailed work from me.
*Drawing my Oc with new coloured pencils.
On Canson 190 gsm smooth-surface paper.
I've bought a set of Caran D'ache classic [30 colours] and gave them a try.
To compare with my old ''Derwent artist'' coloured pencil.
Caran d'ache seems to be more easy to control and have more rich colours with no feeling of grittiness.
And I can build up so many layers of colour with no waxbloom happened too.
......They're quite expensive but they are worth it.
I really want to buy a full set [120 colours] of artist quality if I have enough cash. D:
Oh, and I forget one thing, They're water-soluble too! : )

I really enjoy how you don't outline your work like a lot of artists do. It gives it a greater sense of dimension.

We use Caran d'Ache pencils at school (art school, to specify), and our pictorial disciplines teacher (I don't know if "pictorial discipline" is correct, I used the dictionary to translate ^^'
I also use them at home and still prefer them to Classics and Supracolors... ^^

What range of colours are in the set of 30? Is the 120 a wider range, or just more shades of each colour?

I've never heard of Caran D'ache, but you obviously have a superb handle on them. There really isn't anything I can negatively say about this, other than I'm jealous. Here I am stuck with pitiful Crayolas and Prismacolors.

This is quite stunning, even for an example.
The colors are vibrant, and you're certainly right when you say there is a certain grittiness that doesn't occur here.
