Description
I was working on an emblem design for a banner to hang infront of the stables... I was inspired by the equine designs on the banners of Rohan in the Lord of the Rings films... however, as should be rather obvious, I prefer the more elegant lines of an Arabian type of horse... so I was messing about with rough concepts and taking the lines presented in the Apendicies discs of the film and then trying to impose my own style sensibilities upon them, or adapt them from a rather generic horse shape into the more refined shapes I prefer... this is one of the rough concepts designs.I got side tracked by life (oh the joys of having many many many projects going) and never really finnished the idea, although I've been going back at it lately, and finding this in my old sketch books has brought me back to conceptualizing it more. I am going to go back and rework the idea and strive for even greater "simplicity" to the design...

LOL actually I thought she was "cross cantering"... and I didnt even notice it until after she reached this stage! Maybe I'll call that the center of a flying lead change... yeah... that works.
Actually the tail and the gaskin were the parts of this one that I was the most ishy on... the head didnt please me either. All the cannons are too long, but then again she is a very stylized image so those sort of things dont matter so terribly much to her as overall impression. As I said, she's going to get a major re-working when I get the time to sit and play arround with her.

looks good. maybe make the chest a little less tall, from top to bottom, for an overall more balanced and slender look. It looks a little heavy towards the front.
