Description
My final Bronycon print is completed! It is Fausticorn, Lauren Faust's pony avatar, except decidedly less stressed than in Lauren's own original sketch. Instead, here she is, burning the midnight oil, hard at work with sketches. Around her are towering piles of sketches, with some choice characters hanging out of the stacks: the mane 6, Derpy, and the characters of the voice actors that will be at Bronycon. I think Lauren is the type to surround herself with her work and stay up late to do it.

The making of this piece: Fausticorn is referenced from her original sketch and a vector you can find on dA, but I decided to reference the closed wings loosely off of swans. The sketches around Fausticorn are heavily referenced from Lauren's original sketches. Big Mac isn't too far off from Lauren's sketch you can find online. The Celestia sketch is a mash-up of the three sketches I could find and the show style. Steven Magnet is referenced from a screencap. Discord and Spike I just made up based on references. The mane 6 and Derpy are adapted from my own drawings, but I did my best to change them into a Faust style. It was an interesting experiment, she actually draws things to be quite flat and not work in a three-dimensional environment, which is the opposite of what I try to do with all my pony pictures, so there were some clashes and I had to mess with some things to make it work.

I spent a few hours each day over five days to do this piece. There are 64 layers.
