Description
You cough my nameUnfocused eyes
And we both know the truth
Is that I pay far too much attention
to you.
It's been noted
Time and time
again
That your feelings for me
Are nothing more than
ordinary.
Yet I cling to this.
I watch you drown
in foreign tongues
I watch you scream
in silent films
I cling to the parts
that were special
You are failure
at its finest
and all I have
are these words to keep me busy.
But these words are mine.
And I hope they hit you
with the realization
and the force
that they were meant to.
I hope every cross and dot
hit so devastatingly close to home
that you've no choice
but to keep these conversations
in the distance.
So used and
monotone.

Aw, it's a good poem! Don't be so cruel to yourself.
