Description
my sister came back home from her collegeand we wanted to do our little
"drawing contest" which is not really a contest
we decided to draw a comic in 30 minutes
and I really wanted to draw puppet kai in my comic
I was going to put a lot of action into it
but until I get hang of drawing comics, I don't think
I should do that, otherwise it will look weird
and it'll just look funny
so the story..it's partial comic, again
because I'm really not ready for drawing the whole story yet, I'm still developing and is nervous about it
but I'm sort of introducing one of tricks puppet Kai can do
which is, other than eating human soul
after he finishes his soul meal he can drain up the
skin, hair, etc (depends on what it wants) and still have his little puppet abilities
most for skin .....for cushion, protection from being broken like wood, from swallowing when they get wet
and many other reasons
I'm thinking of reducing criss-cross shades
'cause I may be putting too much everywhere
I'm satisfied with this so far, seeing how I did on the
angle drawings, although they might not be accurate
hope to make better comics

hey! Loved this comic aswell as your last one, as for the cross hatching, perhaps I'm just noobish or something but I thought that the cross hatching was great and didn't really see a problem with it.

wow o.o puppet kai is all sorts of strange/weird stuff.
You're good at the cross-hatching shading, actually. I can't do it worth beans (unless it's on a scratchboard) XD; it gets confusing sometimes. So other tahn maybe a couple places, I don't think it looks like there's too much. Probably partially because it adds an extra style to shade that way.
Both of them seem... really, really tall in the first two panels, jsut because of how quickly they get thin, espectially after the head. (Though I'm sure the puppet actually -is- tall enough for you to have to do that XD; ) But ocne again, your characters are usually excessively thin, so that may just be a result of your artstyle more than anything else...?

well I've been looking at some mangas and they barely put shades
but it still looks okay
I may keep it but I'm not sure d:
I don't like drawing characters not-thin..cuz they look bulky
or it's because I don't draw people in regular shape often XD

It's all in the artist's style, like I said. Some people shade more than others. but yeah, I read manga myself, and it is moreso just a bunch of tones, rather than shading a majority of the time.
hehe. I don't like drawing bulky characters either. Which is why I have yet to create a "macho-man" esque char... like Armstrong from FMA. For some reason those musclemen bug the heck outta me with their... oversized-ness. Or something. I dunno. *talks too much* (plus it's hard to draw <_< >_> : D;; )

It took me a second to figure out what he was doing in the first few panels, but now that I know he's stealing skin that's pretty cool. I kinda like the nice and clean look of this comic page. Very simple.
