Description The photo happened a day after I relocated that olive python from a group of people. This happened at lunch time and was a sight that either the staff or myself have ever seen before. We are having major feral cat problems at the moment so this was an interesting sight to see. Sadly the cat was just a bit too big for the snake so the olive had to go on hungry.

Ah, okay

Yeah, only saw it once though. The same Peregrine, who I named Bluebill, was also seen going after an Oriental White Stork

I've accidently almost hit one when I went out forΒ a driving lesson. I forgot they needed to fly against the wind to get lift. But yeah they are.. and SUPER massive; they are always on the sides of the roads eating road kill :3

o.o Whoa...

Australia's amount of roadkill is actually kind of depressing..I'm sure you, and many other people would brake for bandicoots, but many drivers either don't care or are too slow, and many animals get run over...

But yeah, Wedgies are awesome! Β They are like giant black Golden Eagles that fill the niche of hunter, as well as scavenger

Yeah.. Sometimes it's unavoidable as certain animals seem to cross the road as your driving and you never have enough time to slow down; these mainly happen with some birds, wallabies/kangaroos and cattle..

Hehe yeah Watching them hunt is absolutely amazing and breath-taking.

o.o Cattle? That would be super destructive, wouldn't it?Β

Very true And hey, can we move this convo to notes or something? This comment section of your post is getting kinda clogged up..

Feral cats are assholes. They aren't native to Australia and are killing all our wildlife. Most of the snakes I've caught have been attacked by said feral cats. It happens and we can't stop it.Β

I love snakes and I love kittens. Can't they get along? Screw natural instinct.
