Sappy title for a sappy fan-art. How fitting. Finished in about three hours on this Saturday afternoon while listening to sappy music (bits of Scriabin sonatas and Puccini operas), sitting by the city skyline of New York City.

Admittedly, it feels foreign uploading a fan-art after having not done so for a while (about a few months, I think). Being a college student not majoring in visual arts does count as an excuse for me not uploading anything (or really finishing a picture that started out from a rough sketch, or finishing even a rough sketch in itself). At the same time, there is something cathartic about finally being able to bring to the world another image.

Also, while this isn't my best, I'm still satisfied with it enough so that I can post it up for the Internet to see. I have more images planned out, and I hope to complete those as the Thanksgiving vacation nears. If not, they'll be done either during Thanksgiving break or over winter break this year.

A final word: I added an effect to the image using this website , called "Summertime." I decided to play around a bit with effects, and this particular effect gave a nebula-like feel which really won my heart. I'm such a miserable sap.
