This was originally a picture add on to a facebook note. And since the note explains it very well, i shall just copy that note here.

So there I am, sitting at Deatrick's (dorm I work in) desk at 6 in the morning. A couple of our residents came up from down stairs (i swear these guys never sleep) and we all decide to play a game. Originally it was Apples to Apples, but since someone else in the dorm had it signed out, we wound up playing Life. After 2 rounds of us playing it completely wrong but having a blast, we put it away and they took off for the computer lab. I'm obviously still at the desk (i can't leave) and am reading my book when I notice that we left 2 of the figures out on the desk. On of the little pink "women" and one of the little blue "men". I snag them up to go put them away, but then take a good look at them in my hand.

Two tiny figures, dwarfed and protected by this giant hand. (cue the application part) Most people out there know what my relationship "status" is, and the people closer to me know that i'm not always as ok with it as i appear to be. But the sight of those two figures in my hand reminded me of the way that relationships really work. They're held in God's hand, and He puts them together in His time. If we try and do it outside of that, we're just asking for trouble and heartache because we're leaving the protection the relationship being in His hands.
