Description
Okay, this'll be the last update for a while. I've uploaded these in the wrong order – I did this one before I did the Hajieelkhe piece and before Glimpse of Summer, yet I uploaded those before Spoiled for some reason. This was my entry for the CGchallenge of Master & Servant at CGtalk. I entered, not to win but to have fun – and to my great surprise, I -did- win. My BOXX computer is my best friend now. If you ever have the money to buy a wonderful new system – go BOXX. Unbeatable.Anyway, please click the bigger version. The small, ratty one doesn't do it justice. I've worked harder on this picture than any other I've ever created and I've never painted so many details into any one canvas
Prints of it available here,

and here (in the poster book along with others like Ladies of London and Game of Cards),

Pleaaase take a look at the details, I spent so much time on them

For those who haven't seen the M&S entry, here's the write up that goes along with it:
"At times, Nature is the master of Humanity... and at other times, Humanity certainly rules Nature.
Nature makes us hurry inside when she weeps rain upon the world. With hurricanes, she toys with us. Tornadoes are used to punish, earthquakes to throw us about like pebbles in a child's game. We live on her land, and through that, she rules over us. Our very bodies belong to her - they age in rhythm with her, and they are subject to urges and desires that she imposes on us. In some ways, we're little but slaves to Nature's ways.
But Humanity... on the other hand... has found another way to dominate. Humanity destroys what we touch. We reach out towards pretty things in greed, and leave a trail of death behind. We fence the woods in, we run over the animals and poison the seas. Ours is a different kind of mastery but it is one nevertheless. Nature serves us because she has no other choice. Humanity always expects Nature to mend what damage we've done: heal the woods burned down, return the animals hunted to extinction and cleanse the seas... never considering what will happen the day Nature is no longer there to catch us.
In this piece, I tried to show this relationship. Humanity a naïve yet destructive burden, the smile on her lips slight and dreamy as she thinks of the beautiful flowers she will pluck and the lovely birds she will see while all around her these very things now fade away. She's blind to the destruction she causes. She knows that Nature will be there for her, she knows that there will always be the scent of flowers and always the gentle surge of the sea. She is Nature's master in that Nature has no choice but to try to catch her and always try to mend the damage she has done... but she is Nature's slave because she must breathe the air, drink the water and eat the food that only Nature can give her."

Stunning detail. I love the shiny green colors on Mother Nature (if that is who that is), and ... again, wow - the detail. I'm not a fan of the dead-looking birds, but it adds a dangerous feel to this otherwise flirtatious and gentle piece. yet again.

Absolutely stunning work and concept. I don't know what else to say. It's simply... too amazing. I'm at loss of words
Ignore those hypocrites who keep ranting on and on about photomanipulations and whatnots. Everyone uses photos/models for reference at first before painting real things. They're picking on you out of jealousy. You're way out of their reach, and they can't seem to accept that.
Keep up the good work ^.^

you did NOT come up with this on your own. I definitely have seen this before. At least a few years ago. The fact that you are selling prints of a piece of art which concept does not belong to you is copyright infringment and I do hope that you get caught. you dont deserve to make any money from this, no matter how hard you worked manipulating and painting over. it's not your art or concept. uncreative thief. -_-

Did you think to maybe do some research before you ran off at the mouth? The image IS from a few years ago. It was entered into a contest where she shows step by step her creative process (link in the images comments). I always find it funny how quick people are to judge without having ANY clue what they're talking about.

what a hauntingly true write-up...i love the detail and colors in Nature's face and the dead birds bring the message home. it kinda blends into the picture so you don't notice all that damage unless you really look.

Somehow you just know this will end in tears...But probably much much worse. Though the picture is in warm tones it conveys a certain danger. Something is wrong indeed. Great picture.

Ok, first of all, how the hell this never became DD???
And also, I'm pretty surprised how this isn't the most popular piece on devian art. ...or at least in the first 10 or so.
To me, this is one of the best paintings made in last few decades. I'm not talking only about skill, but the idea and composition and atmosphere it has. It's amazing and has a masterpiece strenght.

this one's sooo awesome... i'm trying to find it as poster/print/canvas/portfolio anywhere on the net but it seems to be only available in an artworkbook over a double-site so there's no chance to frame it and put it on a wall...
is there any chance that you make a print of it available here or somewhere on the net and link it here? cgsociety doesn't have it anymore - at least they don't seem to...

This is really incredible, a powerful scenery, perfect smooth colours. It looks as if they are dancing, bound together in destructive seduction and dependance. All these feelings, contrasts and details in one picture are a proof of true mastery. (Sorry, if my englich was better, I would say more about this then just the usual "wow amazing")
