Description
Okay, this'll be the last update for a while. I've uploaded these in the wrong order – I did this one before I did the Hajieelkhe piece and before Glimpse of Summer, yet I uploaded those before Spoiled for some reason. This was my entry for the CGchallenge of Master & Servant at CGtalk. I entered, not to win but to have fun – and to my great surprise, I -did- win. My BOXX computer is my best friend now. If you ever have the money to buy a wonderful new system – go BOXX. Unbeatable.Anyway, please click the bigger version. The small, ratty one doesn't do it justice. I've worked harder on this picture than any other I've ever created and I've never painted so many details into any one canvas
Prints of it available here,

and here (in the poster book along with others like Ladies of London and Game of Cards),

Pleaaase take a look at the details, I spent so much time on them

For those who haven't seen the M&S entry, here's the write up that goes along with it:
"At times, Nature is the master of Humanity... and at other times, Humanity certainly rules Nature.
Nature makes us hurry inside when she weeps rain upon the world. With hurricanes, she toys with us. Tornadoes are used to punish, earthquakes to throw us about like pebbles in a child's game. We live on her land, and through that, she rules over us. Our very bodies belong to her - they age in rhythm with her, and they are subject to urges and desires that she imposes on us. In some ways, we're little but slaves to Nature's ways.
But Humanity... on the other hand... has found another way to dominate. Humanity destroys what we touch. We reach out towards pretty things in greed, and leave a trail of death behind. We fence the woods in, we run over the animals and poison the seas. Ours is a different kind of mastery but it is one nevertheless. Nature serves us because she has no other choice. Humanity always expects Nature to mend what damage we've done: heal the woods burned down, return the animals hunted to extinction and cleanse the seas... never considering what will happen the day Nature is no longer there to catch us.
In this piece, I tried to show this relationship. Humanity a naïve yet destructive burden, the smile on her lips slight and dreamy as she thinks of the beautiful flowers she will pluck and the lovely birds she will see while all around her these very things now fade away. She's blind to the destruction she causes. She knows that Nature will be there for her, she knows that there will always be the scent of flowers and always the gentle surge of the sea. She is Nature's master in that Nature has no choice but to try to catch her and always try to mend the damage she has done... but she is Nature's slave because she must breathe the air, drink the water and eat the food that only Nature can give her."

You know, however you went about painting this, or any of your works, I don't think anyone can argue that you're a master in your own right. This particular piece is the one that appeals to me in every aspect because it doesn't just boil down to the tried and true elf in forest.
There's something more to it, and the colours you achieved, along with the effects be it from the bg trees (are those passion fruits or roses, I have yet to decide), or the gown, be it something of your own design or otherwise, overall the piece is just gorgeous.
You've received a lot of grief for lying about your methods, and I definitely own up to whatever I did to help cause that, but I do think that whatever your methods are (and I said this before), they're yours and you should own them proudly.
I know that with or without a photo I can't achieve this overall effect, so I definitely admire anyone who can.
For what it's worth, I don't think you should feel the need to remain "in hiding". Loads of people have done shitloads worse than what you've done, and having come under fire when I've done paintover-manips and said as much, I understand why someone would want to not share with people.
Guess I empathize a bit in some obscure way even with the urge to not face anyone. I don't think you're a horrible person though (I might have for a while for misleading people, but I got over myself) and I don't think anyone in modern day needs to feel the wrath of the mob mentality to the level you have. We all get to be humbled on occasion, hopefully you got the good part of that sort of experience and learned something about yourself despite how it must have felt.
Anyhow, that said, the purpose of this post was just simply to say I've looked at this piece dozens of times, and no one could really say anything about it that could bring it down a notch in my minds eye. Colour and comp-wise it's masterful. I was remiss in not having faved it sooner.

A breathtaking piece, done with astonishing detail. This is the first work you've done that I've seen, and I must say, it had really taken my breath away. Every speck of color and blade of grass is done with a defining point, thus making the painting what it is.
Beautiful- to say the least.

I find it very inspiring. Just that they seem to very different nature spirits together in that place. (my interpretation). Ever the dying birds are so beautiful. I can see why it has been so interpreted.

[link] . YOU did this? you painted this? you really did? is this oil paint, by the way? the details are soooooooooooooooooooooo good, i could rant forever! not to mention it REALLY caught my attention: the symbolism and the accuracy and the bright, realistic colors and poses. it's breathtaking. the fact that you used this as a chance to intrepret our flaws and greed makes this piece my NUMBER ONE FAVORITE. and to use these two women. not to mention it proved how greedy we are, even when it comes to us appreciating nature's beauty and even when we try NOT to destroy nature. you're right. no matter what we do, we seem to destroy nature. there are times...when i wish technology never existed, at least the machinery that dominates nature. but, at least it's better to REALIZE that this is wrong, rather than not care or not realize at all. thank you so much. i completely worship you. i showed it to my family and they support you in inspirational admiration. ^^

I love this piece! I also love the explaination for it that you gave us. I completely agree. This is, after all why we call her mother nature. We are the spoiled child that expects the goods to keep on coming and mother nature, being our mother would never want to let her child die so she keeps trying to keep us happy. But then would that mean that she is the one who made us spoiled rotten brats or was it something else? Hmmmm......*very pensive*

I'd say something like 'amazing work', or 'ure beauty', but all that has already been said...But I loved the way the birds and butterflies were disintegrating...and *poof*, and the whole snakey hair, and the tiny mouse on her robe-thingy, and all...and the background, where Mother Nature's side is all pretty and green, and the humans' side is dying...and the dead birdie at the human's feet creeped me out...heh. Well, not really...
