Description
Once a human, Edward was a profound doctor studying the realm of the void, and with the success of tearing a hole through the veil of the universe to the void he decided to be a test subject for entering the realm of the void. As the test commenced and the hole was breached, a miscalculation lead to a stability failure and the realms began to clash, which resulted in the Doctor to be pulled into the dark void. As sudden as the failure began, the portal had quickly torn itself apart and destroyed the laboratory in the process, leaving behind the doctor that has now been corrupted and warped by the very thing he studied.

After the incident, Edward was found to still retain some of his memories, but also had a great resentment towards the his work. One incident had him on a rampage as he began destroying some of the equipment and documents that held information about the creation of the void tear, despite efforts to make him stop and dozens of tranquilizers with enough serum to drop an elephant dead, he managed to destroy everything before succumbing to the tranquilizers.

The incident also prompted for the closure of the laboratory permanently, recovery of any knowledge of the the void tear was not permitted as Edward stated, despite many attempts to reason with him. Along with that, Edward refused to leave the laboratory, to which the rest acknowledged and decided to close of the area from the general public, now he resides in it as his home.
