Given the rise in artificial intelligence, the events of WALL-E seem frighteningly closer than ever. If mankind ever does come to live at the mercy of robots aboard a giant spacecraft, at least we can hope that whatever Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluators they send back down to Earth will develop the same compassion of a certain nature-loving pegasus.
