in the art of empire universe power armor was invented in the empire by the imperial vehicle comission in the year 1929 but the MK1 as it was known was very clunky and never saw action, until in late 1931 when the MK2 (pictured above) was invented, it was still stiff and clunky, but could be used in battle, the MK1-3 used gasoline engines while MK4-6 used small nuclear reactors. the MK2 first saw the battlefield in the second battle of Kutterman Strait in early 1932, which was a close defeat for the imperial forces, the one pictured is one which was in the eastward expansion againt the coalition in mid 1933
