This isn't bad at all! I like the concept, but I do have to say you have your proportions slightly out of wack. From the way I see it if the model were to stand up, she would actually be TALLER than the arch...which isn't really realistic (this is mainly due to the fact that it appears as if her head is leaning against one of the columns).
Also both your model and the violin case could use a little blurring because they are rather sharp compared to the rest of the manip.
Also the background has deep blue lighting, but neither your model, the swan nor the violin case have any trace of a blue tint. Once again not very realistic, they would blend a million times better with proper coloring.
And one last thing, the model and the violin case both would be casting shadows if this were a photograph, so I think that alone would drastically approve the overall apperence of this mainpulation.
But despite my heavy criticsm, I do see very great potential here, and I do think that overall it is really a lot better than most mainpulations I see! Great job and keep up the good work!

Me dun verbally slaughter! Trust me I'm so lazy that if I didn't think you were worth the effort I wouldn't have typed all that out
But what's really funny, is that I came across this deviation on the front page. Then decided to have a looksie through your gallery and I thought one of your manips looked familiar.
Sure enough you are indeed in the ~photomanipulator club. And well since I'm part of the feedback squad I actually just did my job without knowing it
But don't worry my dear! In due time you shall be cranking out one awesome manip after another! Believe me it's a learn as you go process! No one (and I mean NO ONE) starts out even passibly well at first
And as for the proportion, my suggestion would be to make her a little smaller and then move her down some (that will make it appear as if the arch is further in the background)

It took me FOREVER to learn all those stupid but oh so usefull tricks in photoshop (hell I'm still learning them).
One little secret I'm gonna tell you though, is to search in deviantart search 'hair brushes'. Download them to your photoshop and learn how to use them. I use hair brushes with just about EVERY manip I create. In fact brushes in general are something you should look into. It took me almost a year to figure out that they actually existed and now I can't live without them
And lol well techincally I'm only supposed to critique works that state they want a critique but yeahhh

iv got some brushes but havent used em yet hehe.. il find them for sure, and i wana get the tablet too.. in time i know practice will get me to do better work
and about the critiquing, the main thing here is that i got one, im special!

I wouldn't worry too much about a tablet! I mean, I loved mine a lot when I had it (it broke) and now I do everything by mouse (laptop mouse to be exact
