I thought I would take a crack at a new desktop UI for the new componentized "Polaris" version of Windows based on Windows Core OS. Considering that this new desktop platform might rely more on PWAs, UWP Apps, and Microsoft Accounts; I thought I would try to consolidate experiences from the different Microsoft platforms into one experience. Start Menu has been replaced with a desktop version of the android Microsoft Launcher and instead of Explorer.exe containing all the components for the desktop UI, it is now split into separate, individually updatable apps that can be pinned to the taskbar or float as a normal window would. Even the taskbar it self would be it's own app. I also wanted to bring the focus to the user and their portability between devices, so I've created a new user panel which sits in place of the tradition start menu. Hopefully this all makes sense. Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback. Thanks!
