My team's submission for the Homestuck Shipping Olympics Round 2! Now, that Round 3 is over, I can finally post it here. Art and words by me. One of my palhonchos helped me tweak the idea around a bit. So a big thank you to her, and thanks for all the lovely comments this entry got!
The full title is A rose (and a dave) by any other name. It was submitted for team Broβ₯Mom. The premise is: We all assume Mom named Rose and Bro named Dave, but what if it was the other way around? Assuming this was possible, of course.

I love how sweet and heartfelt Mom is, and it squeezes your heart a little bit to see her holding him, and what she's saying, and you're just going "awww...!" and then BAM! "So hey, you don't have a name yet, but I'ma name you after some vortex chick 'cause you have pink eyes."
