Willow does a chainsaw-like movement and spins rapidly, and octagons have that edged shape to them
Poppy dives straight down and drills through blocks, which is why she was made to look like a drill here
Melody has a big beak and uses that to inhale blocks and pigs; this was an attempt to make her more 2010-ish
Leonard in Angry Birds 2 shoots snot out of his nose, so I wanted to convey this with the character design
