I got commissioned to color Ig Barros' battle scene for the game "Imperator", dont know when its coming out, but goddamn, this took forever to paint, and you KNOW Ig Barros had to wear a wrist brace after pencilling and inking that !Painted in corel Painter 8. Did some airbrushing and masking in photoshop to get the depth fogging.

altho some of the lighting is a bit off 
mainly cause the sun is in the back and the front guys have highlights from our side
but it does looks sweet

actually, i really couldnt have them going into darkness, and plus i assumed they were surrounded on the outside by fire, hence all that smoke, so i tried illuminating from below with orange and from above with white,
yeah, lighting error but for the sake of making it more interesting i guess, bwuahahahahah!
a lot of films suffer from too many special effects, cant say i could help it here either...

Ep, you've done it again! Highly impressive when you consider that it was done with Painter...I'm still trying to get the hang of Painter myself...but I'm really digging the atmospheric perspective, with everything getting faded in the background, and also how the sunset (sunrise?) casts a warm glow over everything. Magnifique!

I like it a lot, but the one artistic error I noticed was the blue light on the left of the picture. I know the viking's arm is raised, but shouldn't there be some light on his face? Normally I wouldn't complain about something so minor, but you asked for advanced critiques, so...
