This art kill me over the week. I spend one week doing this. The uniform is super hard to do but im glad it turn out ok. I think im very comfortable with this style of colouring so i plan to use it for my future artwork.
The art feature Zero of Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino! I stick with the manga style and done it in anime style colouring.
Hope you like this. I think i spend around 8 hours on this spread through the week. Actually i start this art with the idea of coupling with Mrsloth's Kaname artwork. But i think our drawing style varies too much. Her art inspire this zero and give me idea to draw the uniform again though i swear not to after i did blood thirst cos it is so difficult. But after this, i think i know how to draw the uniform already.
Because im too tired, i decided to settle for a simple background. Im so sleepy now. If this art is well-liked by all, i may do Kaname and Yuki. My idea is to draw a puzzle pic whereby the three pic can be combine to form one complete picture.

Wow! Really good! I thought it was a pic colored from the manga at first!
However, I hope you don't take this harshly, but I have a few suggestions for a couple areas of the picture.
The right hand looks a little off. I don't blame you! hands are hard! There's a lot of really good references and tutorials on hands around DA. Just run a search for it and you should find some really good stuff!
ALWAYS empasize creases at the elbow on jackets and long sleved shirts. There's always folds coming from the elbow when it's bent. There's also a few clothing folds tutorials around DA too. Also very helpful.
Because his right arm is raised, the right side of his jacket will rise too. If areas like that seem off, use yourself as a reference. Put on a jacket or something and study the way it moves when you do. Just make sure no one's in the room.
Again, please don't take offence to this! The accuracy of the uniform is amazing. (It's taking me forever to get all the details on my fanart.) The shading rocks and his hair is amazing. Even if you've looked at some tutorials before, I find myself constantly rereading them or using multiple refs. Never hurts right? Also please do the Kaname-Yuki one(s) puzzle pic sounds like a great idea!

Im currently editing this art. Cos i spot a very obvious and serious mistake in it. I will take note of the folding and shading of the jacket though. As for the hand, im currently redoing it. So rest assured. The new and edited pic will be up when i done all 3 main characters. Currently starting on Kaname.

^^ well i'm a big fan of vampire knight and especially kaname-yuuki and there aren't many people that draw anime characters art as cool as you ^^ i mean , Zero really looks likes Zero and Light really looks like Light and so on so i'm sure you'll draw a perfer kaname-yuki art ^^

I can tell you worked hard over this, and the results are perfect! The shading of the blazer and all the colours are amazingly perfect! WOW! I don't know what else to say seriously, I just don't have the words!

Thanks! I like how the school uniform turn out. Previously, my colouring of clothings are rather flat cos i pay little to details. I also have vague idea of how to do the shading and lighting. I decide to change that and put in more effort in doing this rather than rushing here and there.

Haha clothing has always been hard for me to color as well. Maybe I didn't observe enough or I am rather ignoarant to fashion(?)
I used to try and finish drawings in one session~ maybe 3 or 4 hours. But now I feel that instead of having a bunch of mediocre drawings, might as well devote more time and effort to craft a proper one

Hey, im glad you like this. I forgot to add that bigger image can be seen if you click the download button. The actual size is around 800 by 1100px. That's what i think abt Vk fanart too. Most are just screenshot of the anime and manga. But im glad more and more people are doing VK fanart. Particularly Mrsloth, her artwork are very beautiful!
