I like this comic, I'm actual g1 fan but I'm not a sheep who use the prototype characters of g1, instead the mane six has actual traits of g1 ponies
start with rarity, her personality is closest to heart throb with a hint of truly
rainbow dash has firefly aerobics I also notice that she has whizzers speed (whizzer is fastest flyer of the g1 pegisi)
twilight sparkle IQ sort of mixed between wind whistler, paradise and galaxy while her magical level is closest to mimic (she is most powerful of the g1 unicorns)
applejack is same appearence but her g1 version is abit greedy and bit much of a klutzs, the also a song calling who a sillie pony (she has four left hoves) g4 AJ tend her apple orchard like posey tending her garden
pinkie pie has more energy than suprise but uk mlp fans and collecters might notice her personaly is closest o g1 lickity split (in the uk toy bio both of has a thing for planned birthday parties, both like to cheer ponies up when they are sad and both has an food addiction, pinki with cakes and lickity split with ice cream)
fluttershy to me is closest to g1 shady (both of them are quite timid and not very brave, also for an earth pony she's not very good at jumping, just like how fluttershy not very good at flying, for a pegisi

probably one of the quirks of collaborative work. i imagine the artists drew rarity and dash seperately and weren't entirely in sync
