When your viewers have to read the comments to work out why this is meant to be funny, you know you did it wrong. I get the joke now, and it's still pretty terrible. Alicorns are not implied to be invincible, they are implied to never age. Thus they would understand death better than most. This just doesn't make sense, less so now that I know what it's meant to mean.

Technically Cadence isn't a natural born alicorn. She ascended to alicorn status. So really Shining Armor's death would be her first real instance of prolonged life. Same with Twilight.

While the comic is pretty fun (the look on Cadence's face is priceless), I have to agree with Limes that it could have been better done.Β I still don't get the humor or the 'read it backwards' comment, but well drawn nonetheless.
