Many "pests" (rats) have been noticed to be leaving the abandoned farm area and entering the city of Canidale, perhaps the reappearence of humans to the city was seen as a good chance for them to search for better food! Strays are supposed to keep them out of human sight, either hunting or talking them out, while Pets are there to support strays, be it by giving them food and/or shelter or even getting their paws dirty and scaring those rodents out of town!
As we all may know, Seymour is extremely protective. After all, that's what he was bred and trained to do-- so when rats from the Farmstead started filtering into the city, it provided the rottweiler with a much needed outlet for his stress and restlessness. Knowing where they came from tore open some old wounds and leaves him feeling frustrated.

I enjoyed working on this piece! I love doing night time scenes. Hope ya like!
