I've had this image in my mind for more than ten years now, ever since I first read "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn." I always had a vivid image in my mind of Huck's father, after he appears in Huck's room and tries to extort money out of him. It hasn't been until the last year that I felt skilled enough to attempt it, and it hasn't been until the last week that I've had the time to start working on it. (Spent all summer on a large commission. Unfortunately, I am not permitted to share until the final product is unveiled.)
