Description
A commission done for a fine gentleman while I was in Lucca '11.It was nerve wracking to do as I didn't know them all that well (I was just *barely familiar with Casshern) - the most foreign being Hurricane Polymar.
Research was a challenge. I was in Italy lacking comprehensive/reliable internet connection in my apartment, and I felt that I needed to give the fellow who commissioned it something special for waiting all three days of the show before I delivered it to him.
Now, I'm not sure if I accomplished whether or not I captured the essence of the characters very well, but the man who commissioned it did say on multiple occasions how much he liked the finished image. So, I guess on that front, I believe it's a job well done.
Onward.

I just want to thank you for your lecture/talk and visit to SCAD.
Seeing your work and hearing you say how much you enjoyed adding dynamic movement to your poses and drawings was truly a refreshing view on art/drawing again.
Still really looking forward to buying one of your books...just can't decide which to get. Haha. Awesome work

You where in Lucca, Italy? That's awesome, I dream on going there, as I have descended from a Lucca family!
I love the bluish touch on this and also the way the characters are displayed.

I haven't heard of them either. Hmmm? They look like a cross between the Silverhawks cartoon and Robotech.
I like the grouping, giving the illo a sense of depth and kinetic energy, the heroes(?) bounding outward like a bang. I really dig the forearm on the guy in the right-hand, back corner.
Thanks for posting.
