We were to take a photo from National Geographic and draw it, then enlarge it and paint it 'simplistically'. Thus, it's a purposely flat piece. I did learn this; Gouche is tough... Acryllic is easier, but it gives off fumes. Trade off to everything. I had to redo the eye because one of my cats attacked my brush.
