Description
Solkan Bridge is a 220-metre long stone bridge over the river SoΔa near Nova Gorica in western Slovenia. With an arch span of 85 metres it is the second longest stone arch in the world and the longest stone arch among train bridges. It was built in the time of the Secession, between 1900 and 1906.Source: Wikipedia

A poem written by ~SnowCullen
The Bridge of My Dreams
I have seen before
It's familiar but different now
Do I walk on it
The waves and curves making it difficult to understand
I have to remember
And I must see
I must see what is on the other side
My mind creating colors only few know
And ones I know all too well
For that is my nature
To see what others don't
Someone says why go
I say why stay
Because you are taking your chances
And it might not be safe
I don't worry about safe
Safe is fine for most I guess
This though is too beautiful not to cross
Not to follow
For it's better than a Yellow Brick Road
How do you describe something bathed in golden light
Flowing aqua beneath like a flow of lava
A dark blue sky like wallpaper
So
Do I stay or do I go
Go
To stay would be to never experience
Amela Ramic painted a painting from my "Dream Bridge" and I am very happy that someone like it so much.
Thank you.

That's really nice, I like the distorted view that you gained with the panoramic shot. It's interesting how those extreme panoramic shots give our world such an alien look, isn't it? It sort of pulls me into the image, and I enjoy that
And of course, the sunlight from the left and the sort of merging curves of river and bridge really make this a very nice view.
Well done
Daniel

thanks I was comparing different angles to capture this one, I tried some classic approach and non classic but nothing gained some good results, then one day when I was looking at it I saw the image ( the image of 16 images ) and yes it works well and it gives the well deserved feeling to the bridge witch is the only one like this in the whole word. So I think the job has been done good from interpretation point but there is some work to be done ... ( lightning ) I missed the golden hour and because of that ...
Thanks for the really nice comment

Hehe, I had looked at your older version, and that looked much less "golden", than the current one. But the one you have no isn't bad, really You can always retake the shot, of course.
But with those late hours the light changes almost every couple of minutes, and taking 16 pictures takes its time
You are most welcome

Thats right 10sec of exposure per image and another 15sec to position per image .. When I will see some great clouds and interesting lightning I will retake the shot just to see what can be done.
Cheers mate

oha, that's a fairly long exposure, even with a small aperture. was it already that dark? or did you use some kind of nd filter?
haha, panoramics are exciting

I used a ND8 filter to even the contrast, otherwise the sky would be burned out, in this case I managed to capture the "whole" DR in a raw file and with some clever raw conversion the result is here. the shots ware taken at f/8 from 5s to 15s exposure .. I am intending to do a nice panoramic today of an old castle-ruins ... no idea what will come out

panoramic distortion... don't bother with that, to me that's what make the photo even crazier and unique.
Wonderful landscape

yeh I know, I only specified that because I know that everyone isn't aware of that and to avoid, questions like ... "ow man is that bridge really so twisted ?!"
Thanks for the comment

Very nice. Is it just a bad filter or are all cokin filters bad?

Curious.. I was looking at the cokin p filter system as my next purchase. Is it a screw in or a resin filter?
