Description I was on an emergency trip to Australia and a good friend who lives in Melbourne flew to Sydney to help me sort some major things out. I couldn't think of a better way to thank her but to draw her something. She aspires to be a naturopath. I take Wikipedia's definition of 'naturopathy' if some of you don't know what it is, which is:-
"Naturopathic medicine (also known as naturopathy, or natural medicine) is a complementary and alternative medicine which emphasizes the body's intrinsic ability to heal and maintain itself. Naturopaths prefer to use natural remedies such as herbs and foods rather than surgery or synthetic drugs."

That's it. Inspired by that(and probably with my lack of deeper understanding of naturopathy) I attempted to draw her with her cat Whisky in the presence of herbal flowers and wisps of whatchamacallit to portray the mysterious nature of inner healing. She holds a sprig of Indian gooseberry. It's the same type of plant that Medicine Buddha holds in his hand so by drawing her with it, I hope she'll be a great naturopath and help heal countless people in the future.

Thanks for reading this very long description.

I'm an aspiring Melbourne naturopath and was looking for an inspiring picture of a naturopath to add to my vision board. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to print out a (poor quality) version of this and stick it on my wall ! It's just perfect.

Is this watercolors? Very nice drawing and gift. That chrysanthemum looks so delicate and pretty.

It's not watercolor. It's all digital with a drawing tablet. Thanks! I like the chrysanthemum too but it drove me a little mad drawing the petals.

No wonder it looks so perfectly done, I should have looked at the category Even so, I think it is crazy to draw, in any medium, the chrysanthemum's million petals
