I really liked the tone of this piece. Although it is almost monochromatic, the artist brought it alive through the various layering techniques and the found poetry. The structure layered beneath the woman's eye is very emotionally effective. The words are a little hard to read, but I don't think that is a problem in the piece. I can read them if I stop and consciously examine them, and they add to the story. But most of what the artist is trying to say is communicated so well through the drawing that even if I didn't stop to read them, I would still walk away impacted. The bold white signature is a little distracting, I probably would have gone a little more subtle with it. But the composition of the piece is excellent and the execution is very impacting.
