Description
ITS DONE!!!! my Halo 3 Spartan Mark VI armor is finally done after 4 months. Its painted to the colors I use online in free for all matches and it just so happens to match the color scheme for Agent Washington from RvB (That was an accident. I had the scheme Idea long before I saw Wash's color scheme.)Related content

First you need to download a program called Pepakura. go here for armor files (and this place will have everything you could ever dream of) [link]
you will then open the files in Pepakura and print them out on card stock. then you cut out the pieces and glue them together. then you fiberglass the pieces on the inside to strengthen them. you can then apply bondo or some kind of compound to smooth out the pieces and make them appear more rounded and sleek. paint and your done.
you can go here for any other questions www.405th.com
also watch this video. they go over the very basics you will need to get started.

So how does this one compare to the difficulty of the foam build you are working on?

this one is is very difficult and the work time is nearly 3 times longer than the foam

I want that so much! You should try the hyabusa stuff for a laugh although it would probably be more annoying......

Was this your first time doing this or have you had a lot of experience with things like this before? I've watched at least 100 videos and read numerous guides and I just recently started on my first helmet. Cutting it all out sure is a painstaking process but I'm super excited. I'm a little worried about the fiberglass part later on but one step at a time I guess.

This was a my first time making anything like this but I have always done construction projects just not to as high of a degree as this.
Take your time and remember fiberglass the inside of the helmet only. On the inside you can be as sloppy as you want. and if you want to you can bondo the outside and make it look sleek and finished.

hey, I've been meaning to ask, are the boot parts easy to walk in? and are they sturdy enough to walk normally in, or do you have to walk lightly?
haha, Agent Washington, eh? and dude with the Shotgun, your pulling a Sarge as well. I used to use a color scheme like that in Matchmaking as well, only with Hayabusa chest and shoulders, and an ODST helmet.
Kick some Covie Ass for me, won't you?

lol. THe boots actually don't have a bottom to them. They're attached to a pair of black work boots so I can comfortably walk around in them. It is a bit cumbersome in the whole suit but it just takes a little getting used to. THe only thing I can't really do is kneel down. I can sit in the armor at least.

haha, my nightmare, not being able to rest my rear end. I'll even make sure to add extra soft foam padding in the rear end!

fff awesome : D, how do you make the armor?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
EROCKERTORRES In reply to Fihonix [2010-09-10 05:06:33 +0000 UTC]
Its first constructed out of cardstock from plans using a program called Pepakura. Then its fiberglassed to strengthen it. You can then bondo it if you want to make the armor appear more rounded and sleek. then you paint it
